脊髓損傷撞擊器(MASCIS Impactor,NYU Impactor)是用來為大小鼠的脊椎施加可重復(fù)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)撞擊力的設(shè)備。
此型號的脊髓損傷撞擊器已經(jīng)開發(fā)應(yīng)用超過十年它是嚙齒類動物脊髓損傷模型的一部分有超過100個實(shí)驗(yàn)室在使用它。有很多關(guān)于脊髓損傷研究文獻(xiàn)使用的是MASCIS撞擊器。很多相關(guān)儀器的建議操作程序是源自于Multicenter Animal Spinal Cord Injury Study(MASCIS)模型和實(shí)際工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
現(xiàn)有MASCIS撞擊器是它的第三代產(chǎn)品與以前的產(chǎn)品相比已經(jīng)有很多方面的改進(jìn)提高。有兩個型號的撞擊器可供選擇
基本版撞擊器(The Rutgers Impactor,Model II型)僅進(jìn)行撞擊 不記錄數(shù)據(jù)。電腦版撞擊器(Model III型)既可以實(shí)現(xiàn)精準(zhǔn)撞擊還可以記錄數(shù)據(jù)。
電腦版撞擊器(Model III型)可以精確測量一個10克的小棒的運(yùn)動情況這個小棒從12.5mm25mm50mm高處落到術(shù)后暴露的脊髓T9-10處。另外設(shè)備還可以測量撞擊位置脊柱的運(yùn)動。顯示墜落小棒的軌跡并測量撞擊速度（ImpV）脊髓壓縮距離（Cd）脊髓壓縮時間(Ct)脊髓壓縮率(Cr)。這些撞擊參數(shù)本身是相關(guān)的同時與其它的脊髓損傷數(shù)值如組織NaK濃度運(yùn)動恢復(fù)locomotor recovery(BBB 評分)也是相關(guān)的。
大小鼠的撞擊都需要一個固定系統(tǒng)(Clamping systems)。同時還需要一個CS-tie。
改良NYU型脊髓損傷打擊儀型號為Model I I I主要特點(diǎn)如下

下落距離12.525.050mm可調(diào)
精確測量打擊頭的移動距離打擊力度（ImpV）脊髓壓縮距離（Cd）壓縮時間(Ct)壓縮率（Cr）等參數(shù)
打擊儀尺寸43 cm high x 30 cm deep x 25cm wide重量5公斤
第三代產(chǎn)品包含了計(jì)算機(jī)和軟件負(fù)責(zé)數(shù)據(jù)的采集工作
